insurance & fees

My rate is $200 per 50 minute session for individual clients and $225 per 75 minute session for couples and family counseling. Initially, I see clients weekly. If finances are a barrier and you would like to work together, I invite you to reach out to me to discuss whether there is current sliding scale availability based on financial need. If possible I aim to remove financial barriers for those seeking treatment. 

Payment is expected at the time of service by a debit or credit card. The card will be securely held in an encrypted cloud service for future appointments or late cancellation fees. I also accept payments through flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA).

Cancellation policy: A full 24 hours of notice is required to avoid a late cancel charge of the full session fee. HSA and FSA accounts can not be used to pay late cancellation fees.

Insurance: Currently, I am an out-of-network provider. I provide clients with monthly superbills to submit to insurance companies for reimbursement. Many of my clients obtain partial or complete reimbursement of the cost of their therapy. To determine if you have out-of-network coverage, please get in touch with your insurance company to ask:

• Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?
• What is my out-of-network deductible?
• If so, what amount will I be reimbursed after I meet my deductible?
• Do you have an out-of-pocket maximum, after which your insurance company reimburses 100% of their “reasonable and customary fee”? If so, what is that amount?
