MY APPROACH

Most people come to therapy knowing something needs to change but unsure what's actually driving the problem. You might recognize your patterns and automatic reactions, but understanding why they persist is different from being able to shift them. That's what we work on together.

We'll explore unconscious dynamics, emotional defenses, and old relationship wounds that may still show up in your life today. I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what's needed in the moment. At times, that's a focus on early experiences and how they shape current patterns; other times, we focus on practical tools for changing thoughts and behaviors, or what's held in the body when words are not enough.

What this looks like: We slow down enough to notice what you're feeling beneath what you're saying. We look at the gap between how you want to show up and how you actually do. We work on building capacity to handle difficult emotions without shutting down or running away, to be strong and vulnerable at the same time, and to rest without guilt. Therapy with me is an active, engaged process. I don’t just sit back and nod; I’m right there with you as we slow down, tune into your emotions, and explore the thoughts and feelings, dreams and desires, and bodily sensations that you might usually brush past.

Therapy is a process, and everyone moves at their own pace. Some moments may feel intense, while others may bring relief, insight, or even humor. Over time, therapy can help you build confidence, develop more self-compassion, and create deeper, more meaningful connections.
